About
Jenna Katz works in high carat gold to create bespoke and one-of-a-kind fine jewelry with an emphasis on whimsy and wearability. Drawing on a lifelong love of jewelry and decades of creative experimentation, Jenna launched her eponymous line in 2019.
Jenna’s work is defined by her spontaneous design process, much of which has been informed by her years of self teaching at the bench. Fusing her foundation of ancient jewelry making techniques with modern methods such as wax carving and 3D modeling, Jenna crafts soulful fine jewelry that melds tradition, history and timeless design. As she puts it, “part of my style comes from being experimental and mostly self-taught. It’s messy, imperfect and doesn’t have a ‘too polished’ look.”
All of Jenna’s work is crafted at her studio in Los Angeles’ jewelry district, where she also meets with private clients. Jenna’s guiding design principles are high quality materials, color and texture, which she layers in each of her pieces. Immediately recognizable for her signature satin finish on high carat gold, Jenna uses colorful stones and antique diamonds to create playful, modern heirlooms.
Materials
All of Jenna’s work is crafted in high karat gold – 18k, 20k or 22k — and incorporates thoughtfully sourced precious stones such as diamond, sapphire, ruby and pearl. Each piece is custom made or made to order, with an ever-changing edit of one-of-a-kind, ready to ship pieces.
The jewelry is designed to be wearable everyday, yet unique enough to keep pieces feeling new forever. All jewelry comes with a signature satin finish and a maker's stamp and gold purity hallmark inside.
A Note on Diamonds
Jenna works exclusively with natural, sustainable materials, and whenever possible uses antique, vintage or reclaimed stones, along with ethically sourced modern diamonds. As part of this philosophy, Jenna does not work with lab-grown diamonds.
